My experiments went well.

I did an experiment for my pixillation idea. Taking pictures of a subject on a bed sheet in the broadcast studio. Click above to see my new page on my website.

this video is cut-out animation of a girl playing guitar. This links to my idea because of the first cut-out dream, where the cut-out character plays drums live on stage. Also the style of drawing in this video is similar to what I want do for my animation
Another idea for the cut-out part of my animation is to film the dreams and just print out frames to put in the animation. This video shows this.
Mind Map - comparing two different animations
Wallace & Gromit -Curse of the wear-rabbit (Claymation)
and
Bagpuss - The mouse mill (Pixilation)
After brainstorming various ideas for my stop motion animation, I decided to go with my ‘Dream’ idea.
Cut Out Dream -
My animation uses two different types of animation; Pixillation and Cut-out animation.
The animation is set in a double bed in a bright room. A 17 year old boy with short brown hair, sleeping on the left side of the bed. The pixilation is of the boy sleeping, e.g. slight movements from the shoulders and head. The cut-out animation is showing the boys dreams on the right pillow of the bed. I’ve decided to have two different dreams and one nightmare in my animation. The sound; at the start, you hear breathing from the boy sleeping. Then music kicks in, different music for each dream.
The first dream: Being on stage. The dream is me drumming on a big stage with a crowd screaming and lights flashing.
The nightmare: In this dream, the boy is being chased by someone through dark places, then falling off a cliff. (during the nightmare the room goes darker)
The final dream: This dream is about being in love. The boy is in love with a girl, but she’s with someone else and doesn’t know how he feels. At the end, I’m thinking they end up together.
This is what i’ve got for now, I’m in the process of sketching my idea and storyboarding.
